I haven't decided what I'm going to do with this blog of mine yet, so in the meantime, I thought I'd announce that I am going to graduate High School... I think... Yeah. I think I will. I finished this year with a somewhat lackluster record. Between the Saturday school detention, being written up TWICE in 3 months, and failing the second trimester of Algebra 2 with a 9%, I'd have to say my Junior year was somewhat poor, behavior-wise, grade-wise, and pretty much everything-wise.
Still, I'm happy that Algebra 2 Tri. B was the only thing I failed. I was a bit worried about English 11, Film, Jewelry, and Civics. So in other words, there was a decent chance I was going to fail every single one of my classes. Algebra 2 is the first class I've failed in my High School career and hopefully will be my last. Luckily, being part of the class of '09, a class that is stuck between the transition of semester class requirements and trimester requirements, I don't have to take Algebra 2 B over again.
In other news, the plate silver that I'll be selling on Ebay is actually 100% mine now. My grandmother thought it would be nice to give it to me to sell since she couldn't sell it directly to the jeweler. Hopefully I get SOME money for it seeing as I spent almost 3 hours cleaning each piece of silver with the silver cleaner. Holy mother of Buddha, that stuff smells terrible.
No, I'm not a guy in a wheel chair that is having difficulty finding a job suiting my disability, I'm just a regular teenager looking for his first job. Now a days, it seems as if finding one's first job is just about the most difficult thing one can do. The places that ARE hiring are looking for someone who is eighteen or older, or one who has experience. I've walked into at least half a dozen places asking if they are hiring and 30 seconds later I'm out the door. The two places I find that are hiring dismiss me when I go to hand in my completed application (not much could be filled out, seeing as I don't have any valid recommendations to offer).
Now I have one more shot, but not really. It's an application to a local pet store that isn't looking for any more employees at the moment. I can only hope that a relative's recommendation could be enough to warrant a prospective job down the line, hopefully even before school begins again. I won't count on it though, and for the time being, I'm perfectly okay with making small amounts of money working for nearby family members and neighbors. Right now I have a box of plated silver that needs to go up on Ebay, hopefully there will be 50$ or so in it for me, which might last me two weeks, depending if there are any newly released games I feel like purchasing.
What a horrendous beginning to my blog, a whiny tale that is sure to warrant a comment or two consisting of something similar to "Go back to Livejournal, and get used to real life, pansy!"
